“Point Me to the Sky” - Original Oil Painting
“Point Me to the Sky” definitely has both concepts of Heaven and Earth in one painting. This painting was inspired by a photo I took on film when I was in Montana last summer. Kris and I were exploring downtown Big Fork before a play we were about to see, and we came across these stairs that were deep under all these thick trees with hills on either side. After walking a while I stopped and noticed the light shining through the trees in a perfect spotlight shining on us below. The leaves and flowers around it seemed to be pointing me right back to that sun. Sometimes I have felt deep below, feeling too far deep, or distracted to look up. But when I have paid attention, I notice everything is pointing me to the light. And I am never too deep to make the climb.
“Point Me To The Sky” is oil on 100% cotton canvas, framed in a natural maple wood floater frame. The Canvas is 16” x 20” and .5” deep. With the frame it comes to 17” x 21” and 1.5” deep. All artwork come ready to frame with framing D rings and wire hardware placed on the back by yours truly.
All oil paintings have been varnished with a UV protective varnish that keeps safe from fading, dust, or damage. All originals will receive a certificate of authenticity written and signed by me.
