“The Skies” (Original) Oil on cotton handmade paper
I actually created this painting last fall, when I was first inspired by all the fall clouds around me. I loved this piece when I created it, but I have since seen it in a different light and had to re introduce it in this new collection. I actually renamed it “The Skies” to give it a simple nod to the beauty and unknown aspects of heaven. It is a simple and small oil painting but holds so much power and beauty. Even the clouds in general are an amazing miracle that give and recycle the rain and water for this beautiful Earth. As you can tell, I am a big fan of clouds.
This painting is oil painted on a dark sage green handmade paper and measures at 5”x7.” It is framed in a 13” x 15” white distressed floating frame that is transparent so it reveals whatever the wall color is through the back. I love this frame with this piece because it shows all of the beautiful edges of the painting as well as brings a sacred feeling to the painting.
All oil paintings have been varnished with a UV protective varnish that keeps safe from fading, dust, or damage. All originals will receive a certificate of authenticity written and signed by me.
